Faaiuaso Lilo “J.R.” serves as a Cybersecurity Advisor (CSA)/Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) for the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Region 9. In this role, he provides strategic cybersecurity guidance and technical expertise to federal, state, local, tribal and territorial partners throughout Southern California. He works closely with law enforcement agencies to strengthen cyber resilience by facilitating incident coordination, conducting cybersecurity assessments, sharing threat intelligence, and connecting stakeholders with federal resources. His mission is to enhance interagency collaboration and help safeguard critical infrastructure from evolving cyber threats.

J.R. brings more than 23 years of experience in computer network operations, cybersecurity, intelligence operations, and digital network exploitation, with a background that includes service in the U.S. Air Force and roles supporting national security at NSA and USCYBERCOM. He holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the American Military University, along with dual associate degrees in Intelligence Studies and Information Technology. He is COMPTIA Security+ certified and completed advanced training focused on developing situational awareness in the digital environment and applying both offensive and defensive cyber operations principles. Outside of his professional life, he is a devoted husband and father of five, who enjoys spending quality time with his family.
