Ms. Gill is the Port Security Director and Director, Safety, Security, & Emergency Management with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA), leading the strategic direction of port-wide safety, security and enforcement programs to enable Canada’s trade through the Port of Vancouver in a reliable and innovative manner while protecting the environment. Her experience with VFPA has included previous roles as Director, Security, Compliance & Authorizations; Director, Health, Safety & Security; Manager, Security; and Security Specialist.

In her current role as Director, Ms. Gill is responsible for overseeing an extensive portfolio in the areas of port-wide safety and emergency management; security on the landside and marine; and compliance and enforcement within the port’s jurisdiction.

Ms. Gill has accumulated over 20 years of progressive experience and leadership in legislative enforcement and holds several post-secondary certificates through the Justice Institute of British Columbia, including Reserve Constable, Deputy Sheriff and Bylaw Officer. In addition, Ms. Gill completed a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology through Simon Fraser University, where she was ranked as one of the top 15% students. Ms. Gill completed the Executive MBA Americas program through Cornell-Queen’s University in 2025, of which she is the recipient of the 30% Club scholarship award.

Ms. Gill represents VFPA at the National Port Security Committee of the Association of Canadian Port Authorities (ACPA) and is an associate member of both the Canadian Association of Police Chiefs (CACP) and British Columbia Association of Police Chiefs (BCACP).
