From Disruption to Recovery: Building an OT Disaster Recovery Program for Maritime Operations
This hands-on workshop provides a structured approach to designing, launching, and sustaining an Operational Technology (OT) Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) program within maritime environments.
With increasing dependence on digital and automated systems across ports, terminals, and vessels, the ability to recover safely and efficiently from disruption is now a core operational and regulatory requirement.
Participants will gain practical guidance on:
- How to charter and govern an OT disaster recovery program
- Conducting business impact analysis in operational environments
- Defining recovery objectives and dependencies across OT systems
- Coordinating across engineering, cybersecurity, and operational teams
- Aligning recovery planning with regulatory expectations and safety requirements
This is a skills-based session designed to move beyond awareness and provide participants with a framework they can begin applying immediately.
s part of the workshop, attendees will receive a courtesy digital copy of:
Operational Technology Maritime Infrastructure Recovery Handbook (Field Edition): A Field Guide for Coordinating OT Disaster Recovery Planning
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Define and initiate an OT disaster recovery program aligned to maritime operational needs
- Conduct a business impact analysis (BIA) specific to OT systems and infrastructure
- Establish recovery time and recovery point objectives (RTO/RPO) for critical maritime functions
- Identify system dependencies and coordinate recovery across OT, IT, and operational stakeholders
- Develop a practical roadmap to implement and sustain an OT DR program within their organization
