Captain Stacey Crecy assumed her duties as Sector Commander for Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles – Long Beach in March 2024. She leads a team of 550 active duty, reserve, and civilian personnel and a 750 Auxiliary workforce in carrying out Coast Guard missions and responses in an area of responsibility stretching more than 350 miles along the California Coast, from Morro Bay to San Clemente, out to 200 miles offshore, including the nation’s busiest container port complex. She oversees eight patrol boats, three multi-mission small boat stations, a marine safety detachment, a vessel traffic system and an aids-to-navigation team.
Captain Crecy has 22 years of Coast Guard experience, mainly specializing in planning and response to oil spills and other maritime emergencies. She is a 2002 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy and holds a Master of Marine Affairs from the University of Washington. She is married to USCG Commander (retired) Kevin Crecy, and they have two daughters, Brianna (13) and Kaitlyn (11).
