Mr. Joe Campillo, a Program Manager at the Science and Technology Directorate within the Department of Homeland Security, brings more than 15 years of project and technical management and Navy acquisition experience in the areas of sensors, domain awareness, operational information sharing, and emerging technologies. Mr. Campillo is an army veteran and brings a unique combination of operational perspective and technical expertise, reflected in the success of the projects with which he has been involved. Mr. Campillo has played key roles in numerous award-winning projects including the Integrated Multi-Domain Enterprise project at DHS S&T and the Riverine and Intercostal Operations Joint Capability Technology Demonstration at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. He was awarded a Special Act or Service Award while at NORAD / USNORTHCOM. Mr. Campillo received a B.S. in Mathematics with a Physics Minor from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 2006 and has completed advanced coursework in Optics and Modeling and Simulation.
