Ms. Gill is the Port Security Officer & Manager, Security with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority and is responsible for all Security activities within the Port of Vancouver. Ms. Gill provides leadership and guidance in all facets of port marine security and brings years of experience in legislative enforcement with a demonstrated ability to develop and foster relationships with relevant law enforcement agencies in support of strategic and operational decision-making.

Ms. Gill began her law enforcement career as a Deputy Sheriff and within the past twenty years has held various progressive peace officer roles in municipal jurisdictions (City of New Westminster and City of Surrey); and with federal agencies, including Immigration Canada and Canada Border Services Agency.

In her current role as Port Security Officer and Manager, Security for the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, Ms. Gill is responsible for developing comprehensive security programs to ensure the safe, secure and efficient movement of goods and passengers through Canada’s largest port, a complex jurisdiction covering over 16,000 hectares of water, more than 1,000 hectares of land and approximately 350 kilometres of shoreline, across 16 municipalities, including traditional territories and treaty lands of several Coast Salish First Nations.

Ms. Gill represents the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority at the National Port Security Committee and Port Security Sub-Committee of the Association of Canadian Port Authorities (ACPA), and as an associate member of the Canadian Association of Police Chiefs (CACP).
