Captain Hall currently serves as the Chief of Staff of the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office (NMIO). In 2016, NMIO was formally designated as the National Intelligence Manager for Maritime by the Director of National Intelligence. Within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, NMIO works to advance maritime intelligence integration, information sharing, and national-level Maritime Domain Awareness.

CAPT Hall enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1993 after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. After completing CTO “A” School, he reported to Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, HI. CAPT Hall then attended Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center (NMITC), Dam Neck, VA and graduated from the Naval Intelligence Officer Basic Course (NIOBC) in 1998. Following NIOBC, he was stationed at the Office of Naval Intelligence and assigned to the Chief of Naval Operations Intelligence Plot (CNO-IP) at the Pentagon for service as an IP Watch Officer, National Military Joint Intelligence Center (NMJIC) Watch Officer, and as an IP Briefer. After ONI, CAPT Hall reported to the USS BOXER (LHD 4) as the Assistant Intelligence Officer and completed two Persian Gulf deployments, including OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. In 2003, CAPT Hall supported the Joint Analysis Center, Molesworth, UK, including serving as the Terrorism desk officer, and the Head of the Central Asia Team at the Intelligence Fusion Center for NATO. While at the JAC, he conducted missions to Bamako, Mali in support of the GWOT, completed a deployment to Afghanistan supporting JSOC and another in support of ISAF. In 2007, CAPT Hall reported as the Assistant N2 to Carrier Strike Group 2 embarked on board the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) in Norfolk, VA, conducting a deployment in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

At the Defense Intelligence Agency, CAPT Hall completed an Afghanistan deployment and served as the Executive Assistant to the Director, Defense Counterintelligence and HUMINT Center. In 2013, CAPT Hall reported to the USS GEORGE HW BUSH (CVN 77) as the Intelligence Officer and completed a deployment supporting OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and INHERENT RESOLVE. In 2015, to support the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Directorate for Intelligence, he served as the Deputy Director for Plans, Policy, and Strategy. In 2018 he became the Assistant Chief of Staff Intelligence for the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force – West at Camp Smith, HI.

A 2010 graduate of the Naval War College, a 2015 graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College, and a 2016 Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Seminar XXI Strategic Studies Program, CAPT Hall’s personal awards include the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Award, the Combat Action Ribbon and the Iraq and Afghanistan Campaign medals along with many unit and personal citations.
